Join
us for a breakfast event overlooking Darling Harbour to help develop practical
skills and tools in grief handling and mental health while honouring National
Volunteer Week (NVW) - Australia’s largest annual celebration of
volunteers and their important contribution to our communities.
Our first speakers are Paul Bennell - ALUCA Claims Group Deputy Chair and Kristy Thomas - Co-Founder and Director of Feel the Magic, a charity that supports kids and their families with the pain and isolation due to loss of a parent, guardian or sibling. This will then be followed by Alicia Gibbs - ALUCA Rehabilitation Group Chair and a representative from Lifeline
These sessions will amplify the importance of volunteers in delivering the purpose and vision of charities and not-for-profits. It will also highlight the skills that both Paul and Alicia gain from both ALUCA and their other volunteer work, how this helps them in their day-to-day work and the toolkits they have developed working with grieving clients and their strong support for mental health.
There will be time for questions and answers, and we encourage all members to attend. All profits raised will be donated between the 2 charities.
