Embedding Biopsychosocial Intelligence in Claims Management
Life Insurers are facing increasing pressure to improve claims outcomes while managing rising costs, longer claim durations, and growing regulatory scrutiny. Traditional approaches often fail to consistently identify and manage the psychosocial factors that drive delayed recovery and prolonged claims. This webinar will explore how insurers can embed biopsychosocial intelligence directly into the claims lifecycle without creating extra work for claims managers, transforming how claims are triaged, managed, and measured from day one through to resolution.
Drawing on the combined capabilities of FINEOS Claims and the Abilita toolkit, we will demonstrate how claims teams can:
- Identify high risk claims earlier using integrated psychosocial screening at lodgement and early claim stages to detect risks that typically lead to longer durations and higher costs.
- Make better, faster claims decisions with trusted data and capture structured, auditable data across psychosocial domains to baseline, track and evidence recovery progress.
- Operationalise consistent, evidence-based claims pathways and ensure that the right actions are taken at the right time for every claim.
- Improve outcomes for long-tail claims through proactively addressing the barriers that prevent recovery and return to function, even in claims already at risk of delay or escalation.
- Deliver measurable business impact and quantifiable improvements including reduced psychosocial risk, increased work capacity, and lower claim costs, all supported by transparent reporting and analytics
